Resident Programs
All courses are taught at Harbor Island Conference Center, Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island. Students are housed in Bachelor Officer Quarters (BOQ). SCOs should request quotas through NETSAFA.
ECL means “English Comprehension Level” test score required for international students nominated to participate in DIILS Resident Courses. Contact NETSAFA if a waiver for minimal ECL is requested.
IMET, CTFP, and FMS course costs listed below are set through July 2009. Course costs include Field Studies Program (FSP) charge of $70 per week and cost of transportation during the course. Course cost does not include cost of airfare or Temporary Living Allowance (TLA).
TLA per day rate calculated using proportional meals rate of $79 on workdays in Newport. Other days charged at full Newport TLA rate of $97 per day. Students pay BOQ charges of $56 per day.
